These exercises are specially designed to help each child have a greater sense of awareness of the world around them.
Montessori and Maths.
The Montessori method of teaching maths is two fold. The child learns how each number is represented  in symbol form and then uses tactile materials to help understand and quantify the numbers in question. Golden Beads help the child to have a good cognative appreciation of 10's 100's and 1000's.
Montessori and Language.
The child is first introduced to sandpaper letters. The letters are taught giving the child the phoentic sound for each letter. Once the sound for each letter is learned the child moves on to using a moveable alphabet. Here the child learns to run the sounds toghether to create words. A whole new world of " Books" is now opened for the child to appreciate.
The curriculum also includes geography and an appreciation of the world and the day to day happenings that make up life.
